Job Duties:
● State Law Compliance: Lead a compliance program for student loans, ensuring adherence to evolving state laws and regulations across all 50 states. Advise on legal adaptations for compliance.
● Quality Control: Implement measures to maintain high compliance and accuracy in client services.
● Best Practices Coaching: Guide team members on compliance best practices, handle non-compliance reports, and enforce ethical client support.
● Documentation Review: Ensure client documents meet legal standards and industry requirements.
● Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate compliance risks through policy development and staff training.
● Legal Research: Address legal queries related to operations and services through comprehensive research.
● Policy Development: Create and update compliance policies to align with new laws and mitigate emerging risks.Internal Investigations: Manage investigations into suspected compliance violations, ensuring corrective measures are executed.
● Auditing: Perform regular audits to find and improve compliance program weaknesses.
● Whistleblower Programs: Oversee programs allowing confidential reporting of violations.
● Documentation: Keep detailed records of compliance efforts, including activities, reports, and policies.
● Advisory Role: Offer compliance guidance to management and other departments, integrating compliance into organizational culture.
● Due Diligence: Evaluate compliance of third-party vendors, contractors, and business partners.
● Data Protection and Privacy: Lead efforts in data protection and privacy, managing compliance with regulations like GDPR and HIPAA.
● Ethics and Code of Conduct: Establish and uphold organizational ethical standards and conduct codes.
● Compliance Reporting: Compile and submit compliance reports to government agencies and regulators, including business filings and license renewals.
● Communication: Communicate compliance requirements and updates effectively to stakeholders.
● Miscellaneous: Provide additional legal support as needed, including advice on Utah Bar Requirements.

Minimum Requirements:
● Post-graduate degree in law from an ABA-approved law school, non-ABA-approved law school, or equivalent or any combination of education and experience that enables the applicant to practice law in the United States.
● Must possess a State Bar License in any U.S. jurisdiction.
● At least 5 years of experience in a relevant role.
● Experience with business management preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Strong understanding of the financial services industry and specific knowledge related to student loan management.
Salary:
$105,000or negotiated commensurate with experience.
